Hi guys,

Was wondering if anyone had experience bringing a LF camera to Australia. Was there any problem with the customs?

Wooden article, quarantine, etc. They're really strict that's all I know.

Any input is greatly appreciated. Thank you!

I've been in and out with my wooden Chamonix several times. I actually never gave it a thought and never got asked. It never occurred to me to declare it because it's wood...
Normally our customs guys only have an issue with timber that is obviously not dried and treated.
I'd be very surprised if you had any issues.

I now live in Perth, Western Australia, and have had no problem with bringing in either of my Shen Hao cameras. As stated above it's untreated wood I think they have a problem with. The only issue I have had is with my tripod. Make sure the legs are meticulously cleaned.
