Hello,

I've difficulties to find informations and price about 3 of my lens so i would like your advises to know if is it worth the cost to make fix the shutter of a Schneider Symmar 1:5,6 / 135 is totally out

I've got as well

Schneider Tele - Arton 1:5,5 / 240
Rodenstock Apo-Ronar 1:9 / 240

With i can work but they deserve as well maintenance for the same problem.

What do you think ?

If what the shutter needs is a Clean, Lube and Adjust (CLA) and it costs about $100 for the repair, I would think that would be a good way to go. The way I look at it most of the lens/shutter combinations we are using these days are many, many years old. I expect any of the old lenses I buy might need a CLA. If you buy another one, will it be any better? I usually go the repair route first if the cost is reasonable, then you know you can use it for a long time to come.

Thank you Bruce, i will follow your advise and send them to Linhof Germany for CLA.
