Did Sinar make an 8x10 version of the P2? I know they have accessories for the P2 but did they make a heavy rear standard specifically for 8x10 as they did for the "P"? I've never seen a picture of one.

Yes, there was an 8x10 version, along with 5x7 and 4x5.

The 433.52 "Special Standard Bearer" is described as being preferred to the 433.51 standard Standard Bearer, for use
when the camera is normally used as an 8x10.

Download a copy of Sinar Code from Butkus or elsewhere on the net for more information.

The B&H "Professional Photography Sourcebook" from many years ago has information on the 8x10 P2, and many others (from 2007, but for LF, that's reasonably current):

Get the whole thing, or any sub section, at http://www.bhphotovideo.com/find/FreeCatalog.jsp

Yes, I have used one for years, though not so much recently, they are, in my opinion the best large format professional commercial camera ever made, you can get reducing backs or 5x4 stand alone film holders that attach to the standard ,

Yep, I got one. I offered it for sale a year or so ago but had little interest so I just store it.

They would make great portrait cameras especially with a Sinar shutter!

Yep ... I got both an 8x 10 P and a P2. The latter with the larger and heavier metered back. I use this camera a lot in studio and I take it out at times.
