s, please shift this to a better location if you feel there is one that is more appropriate.

I just found this on a regional Darkroom forum as being very new info from Kodak.

is this really new and great news, or is it old news?

I thought it a little sad that they could only mention 2 films...

At the bottom of the letter is a line saying that Kodak Alaris is the trade name used by a company in the UK. Is that the same company that will provide Kodak brand film in North America?

From what I understand, Alaris is managed by the British employees' union. The deal was in a settlement because Kodak had no money to pay into their retirement fund. (Thanks, board of directors who sat on digital technology for 15 years AND DID NOTHING WITH IT!!)

Is that the same company that will provide Kodak brand film in North America?...Yes, Kodak Alaris is the company that will market and distribute Kodak-branded film worldwide. The film, at least for the foreseeable future, will be obtained from Kodak Alaris' supplier, Eastman Kodak, which will manufacture it in Bldg. 38 in Rochester, NY. No details about the supply agreement between Eastman Kodak and Kodak Alaris, including how long it will last, have been released.
