This question goes to the European LF users out there:

What do you pay for E6 sheet film processing at your favourite lab? And: Does anybody know a good mail order lab in Europe (especially in Austria and Germany) which offers processing at reasonable prices

Ciao Rainer I'm from Italy...I use a pro lab in Monza and for one 4x5" sheet film E6 processing I'm charged 3 euros...in Milan the price are slighty better, usually in the 2,00/2,30 euros range...sorry, no experience with Austria and Germany...

Ciao

In Croatia, small as is, are only 2 public labs able to develop sheet film (both in Zagreb), one charges 3.3 euros and the other 3 euros per sheet. In conglomerate where I'm working (publishing-news-prepress-press group of firms) we have the 3th lab - free for our business and for our "hobby" shots we pay about 1.2 euro...
The cheaper one accept mail orders, but I'm not sure if they work outside of Croatia (I'm afraid that such work will give them more headache then profit), also I'm afraid that they are more expensive then the labs in rest of middle europe not to mention G.B.

Agree that 2-3 EUR is the usual price for a 4x5 E-6/C-41 development. At least for the nearer future you should find a good pro lab in any big town in Western Europe.

Whatever lab you decide for ask for discounts. A lot of them offer volume discounts and additional discounts if you are willing to wait 24 hours instead of 3 hours...

In Stockholm, Prolabbet charges about 5 EUR for E6 24-hour service, same price for 4x5 and 8x10. There are cheaper labs in Stockholm for 4x5 but probably not for 8x10.

I'm in Sweden too, but I send my 4x5 E6 to Peak Imaging in the UK (www.peak-imaging.co.uk). It costs £1.95 per sheet, plus postage, with discounts kicking in progressively at 5, 10 and 25 sheets. I haven't used them for proof prints in LF, but their MF proofs and 35 mm package prints are better and cheaper than any I've found locally.
