Dry Mounting on Anti-Reflection (AR) / Museum Glass - Surface Order for Epson 4990

Wondering the surface order for dry mounting 8x10 negatives on museum glass.

Should emulsion face the scanner glass or the mounting glass, which side of the AR glass should face negative?

Also curious about mounting technique, and using or not using the film area guide, and how to get perfect registration on previewing the mounted negative, each time, so the scan is straight, with all borders showing.
