View Full Version : Reducing back for Tachihara 8x10?
Hey all, I'm looking for (as the topic suggests) a reducing back for my Tachi Fiel Stand 8x10. Does anyone know if such a thing exists and if not can one be fashioned from another back? Looking for a 4x5 and/or 5x7 back.
Cheers!

I have a 5x7 (not for sale) and am casually looking for a 4x5 which I know they made but are pretty rare for sale. (I actually use the Tachi reducing back on my Wista 8x10 Field, essentially the same camera).

Are you saying you have a reducing back from Tachihara? 8x10 down to 4x5?

I have a Tachihara 8x10 to 5x7 reducing back that I use on my Wista 8x10. I'm looking for a 4x5.

Do you know if a 4x10 exists?

Richard Ritter can make you whatever you want...

Paul - I do not know if a 4x10 exists. Some have used a dark slide cut in half to make a 4x10 of sorts.

I have a Tachihara price list from 2008. For 8x10 it lists 5x7 and 4x5 reducing backs, but not 4x10. I have never seen a 4x10 camera or reducing back from any Japanese manufacturer other than Ebony.
