I'm a long time Sinar 4x5 user. Been through Fs, Cs, and Ps. Recently bought an 8x10 P.

I've seen several 8x10 bellows for sale over the past few months. Some of them have been described as MB for metering back. This is where I'm confused. I've never seen a Sinar bellows that attached directly to a back, metering or not. The rear standards I'm familiar with all were two sided. Bellows attached on one side, film back on the other.

Does anyone have experience with a bellows made to be used with a metering back?

The P2 rear format frame is slightly larger than that of a P, as the dimension of the back increased to accommodate the meter probe option. Consequently, the rear measurement of th bellows had to change as well. The arrangement of parts is the same as it always has been: back - frame - bellows.

On the 8x10 cameras, the metering back and the frame that holds it are slightly larger than the non-MB, so the
bellows must also be larger at that attachment point.
