Anyone know what the reproduction range of this lens is on 8x10? Specs are 400mm image circle at f22 for 1:1. What's the reproduction ratio that just covers 8x10?

On 8x10 film, the reproduction ratio which covers 8x10 is 1:1

On 4x5 film, the reproduction ratio which covers 4x5 is also 1:1

Perhaps you mean something else, like how much extension is required for 1:1. The answer, with a 210mm lens, is 420mm - no matter what size film you use.

I was wondering if it had a range like the Rodenstock 210mm Macro Sironar which goes 1:3 to 3:1.
So I was wondering at what range of it would start to cover 8x10. It won't cover 8x10 at infinity.
I guestimate it starts to cover 8x10 at 1:1.85 (roughly 1/2 life size) and at 1:1 (life size) and beyond it would have plenty of coverage.

Lenses are optimized for a certain distance (or in the case of the 210mm Rodenstock Macro Sironar, 2 distances depending on the arrangement of the cells) - but can do very nicely outside that range, especially when stopped down sufficiently.

My 210mm Macro Sironar also happens to be one of my sharpest lenses, at infinity distance. I'm certain it does well beyond 1:3, and when reversed I'd be surprised if it doesn't do well beyond 3:1.
