Grafmatic sheet film holders

One of my Grafmatic sheet film holders has developed a light leak which fogs the bottom 1/2 inch of the film sheet (i.e. opposite the film notch). Does anyone k now the remedy to this - is it simply a matter of replacing the felt cloth backi ng on the metal tongue attached to the underside of the outer cover of the holde r, or is the problem in the septum carrier itself?

Are you saying the same septum (and only that septum) has a consistent leak? Have you taken that one out? If the rest are OK and there is no leak, it sure isn't the light trap. Since you supposedly know which septum is bad (to the exclusion of the others), compare it to the others. If deformed, that might explain it.

Thanks for your response - it's not a buckled septum, as it occurs across all six septums loaded.

There are actually two felt strips inside the magazine. Most of mine had come loose over the years with the same result. Disassembling the magazine isnt difficult. Just pay attention to screw length, etc. I used Pliobond cement to reattach them.
