I see there are 3 standard dilutions 1:25, 1:50, 1:100. Assuming the same box speed of iso 100 and using the correct time for the dilution. Is there any different in the neg? Quite interested if one dilution over another will give better shadow depth.

I don't see a lot of difference between 1+50 and 1+25 except you need a different development time.

However if you go to high dilutions and semi-stand, you can change the curve. There are a couple sections in the FAQ linked in my signature that discuss compensating developers.

Tried to peek at your FAQ but there is a server error.

I just had a shout at the hosting company and it seems to be working again. Fingers crossed.

If you want good shadow depth shoot Acros at 40-50 and develop for about 15-20% less basic suggested times.

I really love my Tri-X in nice soft light but have never been able to get harold feinstein shadow detail. Might give that a try.

Yeah... What he said ^ ^ ^

You cannot blow the highlights in Acros no matter how hard you try. Ain't possible.
So shoot for whatever level of shadow detail you want and develop in Rodinal 1:50.

One important point that is often overlooked when using Rodinal at high dilutions...
You need 10ml of Rodinal concentrate for each 80 square inches of film, i.e. one 8x10 sheet of film or any combination
of film that could be proofed on a single 8x10 sheet of paper (four 4x5, one 35mmx36, one 120, etc).
