Looks like geared rise and possibly shift too, wonder if the tilt and swing is geared too? Doesn't look like it from the photos.

They should make a model out of Titanium with exotic endangered hardwood knobs.

You bet. An increased-precision model is a welcome option, and if it helps them remain viable in an evolving market, so much the better.

According to their website, the ebony wood in Ebony cameras comes from plantations; it is not rain-forest ebony. I see no reason to doubt them. The rare metals that are in your (and my) cell-phones are probably more environmentally unfriendly. Anyway, view cameras (I mean all view cameras) are not a major threat to the Earth.
