Did Linhof ever make an 8x10 Technkia? I know it would have weighed as much as a Tiger tank, but it would be interesting to see.

Not exactly. Before WW II they made an 18x24cm Technika that weighed22.5 pounds. They were made to order in 1938 and 39. As of 2000 there are supposed to still be about 6 of them still in use.

BTW, that weight was without lens!

Now you have seen one. That subminiature looking thing it is facing is a 9x12cm Technika II!

I suppose the rangefinder was optional, but a sports finder would be great for a very strong man...

Looks like a very nice one sold for €4,600 in 2007 at WestLicht Photographica Auction. Nice looking, scaled up.

I'll stick with my 1/2 scale Pre War 5x7, it is a very nice camera and weighs 7 lbs with my 210 mm lens, that folds inside.
