Can any one recomend a filter for a new 110 XL I just purchased? I'm looking for a UV, I heard Heliopan makes a thinner more compatable filter. I've also heard B+W makes a 67 EW that works as well.

Schneider recommends you use the EW series to avoid touching the front element. I bought a Heliopan brass step-up ring, 67mm-77mm. Less chance of vignetting that way also.

You REALLY need to go with the step-up ring option! The front element is VERY close to the "rim" of the barrel - I use the 67-77mm option and have had no problems!

I used the step up 67 to 77 . worked great. Dealer tried to sell me a $200 Heliopan CIRCULAR pol to go with as I originally came for a pol for my fall trip. I bought a $20 used Tiffen leinear. He played dumb as a rock when I told him it would work just fine on my view camera, and it does.

i took an older 67mm filter and removed the glass, effectively making a 67 to 67 mm step-up ring. i then screwed on the empty ring and standard B&W KR1.5... works perfectally. no vignetting whatsoever - on 4x5.

good luck, scott
