Hello,

I tried searching the forum and the web, but did not come to any conclusive information, I'm sure someone here will be able to help. I need the dimensions/specs for the flange of the 480/9 Apo-Ronar (older version, before CL). I'm trying to get one machined by someone that's not in my city, so I need the precise specifications to mail to him - diameter and thread pitch, not sure if there are others. I tried measuring, but I don't trust the small flimsy calliper I've got, and I'm not very sure I'll do it right.

Thanks in advance!

I have a circa 1970's Rodenstock brochure that indicates that the mounting thread for the 480 mm Apo Ronar has a diameter of 72 mm and a pitch of 1 mm. It would really really be best though if your machinist could have your lens in hand to test for fit in doing this work.

Thanks a lot, David! I'll try to get it done locally, but it's getting somewhat harder to find decent machinists doing this sort of freelance work around here.
