I thought this had been discussed before but I couldn't find the thread...
Will a CC-400 focus at infinity with a 90mm lens?

They make a recessed lens board for using a 90.

I know that a recessed board is available but is it needed?

Well, the SA 90mm f8, which has a flange focal distance of 99mm, will focus at infinity with the flat board.

It is definitely needed if you plan to use any of the camera's movements other than focus. At infinity, you have the standards so close together with a flat board that there is almost no possibility of rise for example.

The CC-400 - unlike the 402 - doesn't allow much in terms of movements with a 90mm... even with a recessed board it isn't a great combination.

It will not work on a flat board at infinity. You can basically shoot straight ahead with no movements at infinity with the recessed board, and it is hard to access the lens controls. Other than that it is a great combination. It drove me to buy an old ARCA B with a bag bellows. K

Yes, it works with flat lensboard.
I have that camera and a 90mm Rodenstock; no problem.

I owned this combo and had virtually no movements. Bought a Sinar with bag bellows and never looked back.
