hi

i just bought this lens on ebay and wanted to find out some info on it.
the seller knew nothing about it.
does anyone know if the flange fitting it would be metric or imperial threading?
or the size of the back of the lens?

thanks

phil

Is it in barrel or shutter, and if shutter, which one? Probably imperial if in barrel, metric if in say a Compund shutter, imperial if Betax....

Cheers, Steve

I have the 11X14 version. No idea how to tell imperial from metric.

"does anyone know if the flange fitting it would be metric or imperial threading?"

neither, they would be US sizes and TPI, you need a B&L flange.

B&L used their own US sizes and TPI that sometimes interchanges with Kodak
Kodak used their own US sizes and TPI that sometimes interchanges with B&L
Ilex used their own US sizes and TPI
Wollensak used their own US sizes and TPI
these also almost never interchange between brands.

"metric if in say a Compund shutter"

no, B&L licensed and produced the Compound shutter in Rochester with US sizes and TPI.
