Hello,

I will be in Düsseldorf next week, and wondered if anyone can recommend an exhibit or gallery featuring film photography, preferably large format.

It needs to be open in the evening.

Thanks for any suggestions.

Not LF, but still worth seeing:

The museum is open until 8 pm, Fridays until 12 at night.

I'll be in Düsseldorf next weekend myself, so maybe we can meet up for the exhibition?!

Cheers
Andreas

Thanks Andreas, this is interesting. Due to my work schedule I am not sure which evening I will visit. The location is great, near the Altstadt.

Hmmm?

If you photographed in Düsseldorf with a Deardorf, wouldn't you double dorfing?

Preston,

"dorf" in German means "small village". "Düssel" is the name of the river flowing through the city and into the river Rhine, so "Düsseldorf" is the (no longer) small village at the river Düssel.

Appr. 100 miles south of Düsseldorf near the River Rhine you will find the city "Dierdorf" which most likely is the origin of the name "Deardorff" according to this genealogy website:

So indeed, double dorfing... ;)

Cheers,
Andreas
