Here I go again. Trying something for the first time.

I have Polaroid 891 8x10, six sheets. I just exposed one.

The processor instructions do not make sense to me. I have the OE manual. The unit is the blue AC powered 81-01 processor no loading tray design and the correct 81-05 holders.

I have loaded the positive as best I could. Was I surprised when I lifted the holder up and find the positive on the bottom outside, next to the dark slide. This puts the dark slide between the pos and neg.

OK, maybe that's correct.

The next step is to put into the machine and push the button?

How would that work. How does the darkslide get out of the way?

I guess the rollers pull both the neg and positive out of the holder and through the rollers.

I think I got it. By the time this is read I will have tried it.

5 minutes development coming up...

I am unhappy to report. No image. Dry Pods I suspect. Everything went as planned. 5 more sheets to try...

Well, now I know to use it. Plenty of ways to mess up and I found them all. My film is all bad, I had 2 that almost worked. Mainly I wanted to learn how to use it and if my machine and holders work. They do, way better to waste these sheets than a $200 box of IP.

This is my only 'image'. I put it on my lightbox, I didn't want to risk my scanner. This stuff also stinks badly.

So, wait, the 81-01 processor *doesn't* use a loading tray?

No it does not and does not need it, but you do need 81-01 to 81-05 holders.

Hi there
would you mind share your knowledge of 81-05 holder pls?
I tried it yesterday and failed...
Am thinking to get 81-06 holder but it would be great if 81-05 holder works!!!
Thank you for your help

Randy is correct, the 81-01 processor requires the 81-05 holders, no tray required. You have to slip the positive in at the other side of the dark slide

The 81-06 holder requires the 81-12 or 81-22 processor with loading tray. My 81-05 holders don't fit in my loading tray ... caveat ...

I have both systems ... long story ... lol

I will try it when I return from my trip, do you have any tip how to slip the positive side in into film holder?
It does not looks easy like 81-06 system... I may need to hunt for 81-06 holder since i have the loading tray...
