I have a lot of expired Dektol and D-76 powder in original packaging.

Any problems in using it?

I read somewhere that if the powder is brown, it's no good (oxidized I suppose), but if it's white it can be used.

Can age have an effect on development time or other uncontrolled effects?

Just try some starting at normal development times and see what happens.

Don't even try it if it stinks.

I have found that to be good advice in many circumstances!!

Hmmm, so now I have old expired paper to test with old expired developer. Or the other way around. Should be fun..... with my 1-2 year exposed & undeveloped film.

Talk about latent image! It will be a hit on the funky forums...

Heck those developer packs are expensive now..... my packs have stickers for 7 bucks on them and now they are $30+

Would Ilford Multigrade RC Xpress Glossy work for that..... I've got a 10 inch roll of 76 m, so some 300 8x10 to fool around with.

BTW.... The winding of the roll is "Cinch Wound", meaning what?? (Unopened box)

/gth

Edit: The answer would be no.... from what I just read. Tangential question closed.
