Looks nice. How did you separate the subject from the background?

Do you mean physically? I used black velvet draped over a chair and brought the orchid out in front of it a little bit in order to get some separation.

If you mean digitally, I did almost no Photoshop work on this shot. It's pretty much a straight scan.
