FYI, and against all odds with the lack of rain for Southern California this year, there are some very nice displays of poppies, lupines, some white ones (sorry I'm not botanically-trained) :-) and yellow mustard (?). State Route 223 between Arvin and State Route 58. Also north (?) on Bena Road from where it intersects SR 223 & 58. With a chance of some decent rain this weekend, they might last. Otherwise I'd give them a week or 2 max.
