Does someone here know the filter thread size of tele-congo 240mm f6.3 lens?

Congo does not list a f6.3 Tele-240 on their website. 300mm seems to be the shortest tele they make.

However, they do list a Commercial Congo f6.3 240 that takes 55mm screw-in filters.

I know, i checked the web page. But it's Tele-Congo 240mm f6.3 not Commercial Congo...

Do you actually have the lens in hand?

Is it labeled Tele-Congo on the lens barrel?

It appears that Yamasaki doesn't make a f6.3 240 Tele-Congo.

In some parts of the world, long lenses are mistakenly called "tele".

A 240 is considered to be a long lens for 4x5.

It's labeled tele-congo as i said... maybe they don't make 'em any more.

If you so skeptic, just google it... you can find many images and posts about it, but nothing about it's filter size.

And no, i'm waiting it to arrive.. if i had it, i could just measure the filter thread. But to save time, i thought i could ask and maybe order the required step up ring forehand.

It actually seems that Tele-Congo 240mm f6.3 IS Commercial Congo 240mm f6.3. It's not a tele lens at all, it's a tessar! I'm kinda putting this information up as a future reference, there is not much information on this lens. And i was fooled by the Tele-Congo label. After figured it needed lots of bellows for a tele lens, ended up checking it more closely and realizing that it's actually a tessar construction.

I thought i had a nice multi coated tele lens, now i have a nice multi coated tessar.. but i needed a tele. Hah.

This kinda verifies what i thought, it's actually just a Commercial Congo 240mm f6.3 with a Tele-Congo name on it. Not a tele lens at all, but a tessar. The real tele lenses Congo has, starts from 300mm.

http://www.cosmonet.org/congo/spec_e.htm (http://www.cosmonet.org/congo/spec_e.htm)

The specs you gave, are identical to the listed specs on Commercial Congo 240mm f6.3 lens.

Just to add to this information, even though the lens is not a tele design (despite the name, it's just a basic commercial congo). It's not completely worthless, it does cover 8x10" wide open, even seems to give small bit of movements.
