View Full Version : New base for my Asanuma...

A few days ago, I got to rethinking the base of my half-plate-turned-4x5 Asanuma. Stock was the familiar (and to me, useless) metal spider. I'd made an adapter plate a couple years ago that mounted to the spider, but it was unwieldy and added a significant amount of weight. Got a tip from a reader on my blog, and set about to making a roundel to fit the hole from the spider. Finished today:

The whole process is chronicled on my blog (http://wp.me/sWENv-468). Have a look!
