I have seen conflicting reports that it takes either 67mm or 72mm filters. The lens serial number is 10213487. Thanks.

According to this Rodenstock brochure (http://www.kennethleegallery.com/pdf/RodenstockApoSironarN.pdf) (page 2), it's 67mm.

My 210 Macro Sironar N also takes 67mm filters.

My APO-Sironar-N 210/5.6 from the mid 90s definitely has 67mm filter thread. But the one you mention is from around 1980 and I don't know if at some point they changed the design.

You could measure it. Pretty big difference between 67 and 72. Take a caliper and measure between the threads, add one millimeter, and you should have a pretty close approximation of the thread size.

I don't have the lens yet, but I'm considering buying it.

Well, why not ask the seller? Most likely the answer will be 67mm. The 72mm you mention would fit a Sironar-S 210/5.6, which has a slightly larger angle of coverage (75° vs. 72°).

I have both the Sironar-N 210/5.6 and the Apo-Sironar-S 210/5.6

The Sironar-N is 67mm.
The Apo-Sironar-S is 72mm.
