My f2 4x5 has a problem. The rear standard will swing even when tightened completely. It was like this when I got it but I have just been working around it when the rear standard swings a bit when I install or remove the film holder.
Is there a way to repair this?

Try here: http://www.image2output-support.com/sinar/ Almost at the bottom of the page listed under "View Camera Service Manuals" is a link to a pdf file "Sinar F - Sinar Handy". It is 124 pages long, so at least on my pokey internet connection, it takes awhile to download. This may be for the original F, but hopefully is the same as your F2, or close enough.

I have had repair work done on my Sinar P and Sinar Shutter by George Brown (http://www.ebay.com/sch/apogeebee/m.html?_dmd=1&_ipg=100&_sop=1&_rdc=1). I've also purchased from him. He's located in the USA. I can send you his email address via PM if you like.

You can usually buy a rear standard for less than a repair. Try ebay or post a WTB here.

If you are good with mechanics and small screws, you can take it apart and maybe fix it. I have done that, but I had some tense minutes trying to remember where everything went. If I did it again, I would take digital pictures as I took it apart. I have the Sinar manual, but it is a little cryptic if you don't read old fashioned mechanical drawings regularly.
