I was a designer of that T-shirt press. Worked at Perma Trans in Columbus, Ohio as Creative Director in 1972. It was designed to go into a small enclosed T-shirt display where one could buy T-shirt then Pick out a Roach/Perma Trans Heat transfer and operator would apply it to the t-shirt. that way you sell shirts and affix a transfer after it is sold, maximizing inventory o.f shirts with no non selling designs being held in inventory. Approximately 10, 000 machines were built over a 6 year period.
