Freestyle lists it at $2999.99, shipping in April.

The CPP3 with a lift costs 3495$.
The machine with out a lift is 2999$ as noted, though getting this machine with out a lift kind of defeats it purpose.

Machines will begin shipping in march, so if anyone needs one soon they should let us know ASAP.

Looks like an improvement over the last ones. How do the process steps work with having to manually dump it? Do you need to tell it when you have added the next chemical?

Is the lift on this compatible with the older ones? Both forward and backwards? Was anything done to strengthen the lift? The old ones were a bit strained with a full expert drum, and needed a helping hand along with the lever.

Yes - the user tells the machine to move to the next step by pressing a button on the control panel.

The CPP3 is backwards compatible with all existing Jobo lifts for CPA2\CPP3. The new lift has no major design changes of the current CPP2 lift, and as you note you always need to use a second hand when raising a fully loaded Expert drum.
