I picked up a Red Wing changing tent and the first time I used it, I got fogged film. I know that I should have tested it, but who would think that a reputable changing tent would leak light. Anyone out there in LF Land having any experience with changing tents and specifically Red Wing, I would appreciate your feedback. I suppose that I could only use it in subdued light or at night, but that seems to negate the whole purpose of the changing tent. BTW I just tested it with a fairly powerfull flash light and could see the light when I shined the light toward the wall of the tent. The tent is a great idea, but not if it fogs my negs. Any advise would be kindly welcomed.

Sounds like it could be a defective tent. I use a Redwing tent. Keep it in the back of the car and use it for emergencies all the time. Had it for a couple of years and no problem. As you said it is a very reliable company. I'd go to the store first but if you call Redwing they will replace it immediately.

I'm not familiar with that tent (I use a Harrison Pup) but it sounds like you may have a missing layer of material there - there's no way you should be able to see a flashlight through the sides. Take it back to where you bought it.

Cheers,
