I just purchased a 90mm super angulon f8 copal NO.0. I borrowed a lens board from a from a friend, who said it was a copal 0...and it looks like one. First i was wondering if my mounting ring may be to small, beacuse it just slips right through the board opening. Also, I'd like to know what the diameter should be for a copal 0 lens board (it may be drilled too big). Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Hi Bryon,

The hole in a lensboard needs to be be 35-36mm in diameter, in order to fit a Copal 0 shutter. Sounds like yours is too large.

Thanks for your help. The hole in the board I'm using us 41.3mm. Way too big. Thanks again.

Or possibly you ended up with a super angulon in a copal 00 shutter.

You have a lens board for a Copal #1.

I have a 65/8.0 Super-Angulon in a Synchro-Compur #00 shutter, and I don't think the 90/8.0 would fit in a #00 shutter. I agree that it sounds like you have a #0 shutter and a #1 lensboard.

There are 90mm Super Angulons that fit 00 shutters. I have one.
