    Re: post your Architecture photographs!

This is from a group project I did at college in 2008 called Re-visioning Portland. We took old photos from the Portland, ME area and attempted to get into the "photographers shoes" so to speak. It was a particular challenge to get similar lighting, composition, and perspective for these shots, and exciting to see the changes in the buildings and people. We worked with Mark Klett on this project as he does similar work such as his "After the Ruins" series rephotographing San Fransisco..

This shot is of the Porteous Mitchell and Braun building in Portland which is now the Maine College of Art campus building. This is a rephotograph of an old 1920's litho postcard. Postcard was donated by the Augusta Historical Society so I had permission to use it. The perspective is a tad off but was as close as I could get as there was a new building on the other side of the street in my way.

Taken on a Cambo 4x5 with 90mm Schneider SA, Kodak Portra.

Gee, maybe it is just me, but I do not see any grain in the photograph!

Nothing beats a great piece of glass!

I leave the digital work for the urologists and proctologists.

That's because I shoot with one of those multi megapixel monster cameras.
