This is fantastic Dennis! It's amazing on a purely visual level, but also contains so many intriguing human elements. I want to know the story of the man on the phone, but every figure (the woman, the man in uniform, the guy in the trench coat at right) is interesting in their own way. Your timing here was spot-on!

You certainly identified a different dimension of interest.

I usually take two exposures - in my second, the phone call was over and not a single soul in sight.

Terry276: Was the lean of the water tank and chimney intentional, or was the camera back not vertical? Normally I wouldn't comment, but in your image, since they and the telephone pole tilting in the opposite direction are the dominant verticals, they immediately caught my eye.

The telephone pole was tilted, which I liked, so I futzed with the back to see if I could tilt the smokestack for a convergence effect. It came out a bit stronger than I expected, but when I scanned it I liked it well enough.
