    I was wondering same thing...

Betting a bit of swing to follow the teeter-totter, wide open. That's a really striking picture.
Thanks, but I'd rather just watch:

That's my bet too. You can see the focus is closer on the right edge of the frame, farther back on the left. Working wide open, such movements become second-nature. Nicely done!

This was shot with a Schneider 300mm f/5.6 at f/8 - f/11. The sun was setting and I wanted to make sure to have a reasonably fast shutter speed since I forgot a cable release that day. The other posters were right that I used swing, though it was rear swing since that's a lot easier to use on the Black Beast C1 .
When Landon suggested he sit on the teeter totters I knew pretty much from the start he and the totters were the only things I wanted in focus. There were other movements used as well, a little bit of front fall to get the frame where I wanted it, as well as a little tilt to get Landon and the front of the teeter totter in focus. The combination of swing and tilt is why the out of focus areas are so swirly.

    Dr. Tang,

I really like your lighting and the tones...care to share the type of lighting/modifier used?

Thanks a lot for the explanation.

I like the mood and the composition. Looks really like a nice restaurant and the owner is well placed to demonstrate that.
Looking at the menu in the back, mouth watering starts...
May I ask which restaurant it is and in which city?

This is a very nice portrait. I am glad you mentioned it is a restaurant, it looks like a classroom. This little lens is really. something. I like my drink with some tapas on the side.
