Tim runs a scanning service in the UK. I suggest talking to him about what you'd like to try. The iQsmart scanners have a good reputation, but I've never used one. My Cezanne hasn't been serviced in many years, probably at least 10. These were meant to be used all day, every day. Amateur use shouldn't come anywhere close to that. Keep it clean. Use a dust cover. Things like bulbs can be replaced by the user, assuming you can get your hands on the right ones. Don't get the calibration strip dirty.

The link is still "bad." I think this is the one, hopefully my link works?

Thanks Peter, that's reassuring to hear. I had imagined there would be extensive annual servicing costs. I will send Tim Parkin a message.
