how to stick fly's on this web

I would like to know once and for all, how to post an image that is not a thumbnail.

you see i posted an image from my first nude shoot today, and i dont have photo shop, but i do have a new iphone 4s and another old 6mp digital pentax dslr.

yeah i know, but any way, i found a free site that allows you to resize images etc but i cant remember what size i need, and so after an hour or so of faff i ended up just posting a small image lest i go insane.

so with said equipment and a mac, how does one post an image that is not a thumbnail.

    thanks kindly

Upload your image to a site other than this site (i.e. flickr.com or your own site) and post an to it. That is the easiest way to do this.

And uncheck the box that says, "Retrieve remote file and reference locally". De-selecting that feature places the image directly in the post and not as a thumbnail.

Why not a thumbnail? To view it all one has to do is click on the thumbnail, click on it again and then it can be made bigger than one's screen (resolution permitting).

That way, thumbnails do not create as many pages in a thread as large images do.

Try it, if you have not already.

But how does one delete an image from a post?

I think the only way you can delete an image from a thread (that has been archived) is to not have the [img] link point to it--one reason to manage your own image library on a separate server.

Before this last upgrade, one could delete images as long as one could edit one's post.

PS -- I just went to my profile and found a place to edit my attachments and deleted it (nude on fallen redwood), so it can be done.

I wasn't aware of this, either. Thanks. Actually I found it under Settings>Miscellaneous>Attachments.

Thanks, Will -- I guess I went to "settings" to edit my profile to find a way to manage my attachments, and stumbled across it that way and the bottom of the menu on the left side of the screen.
