Did the sky really blow out or was it just obscured by clouds that moved during the 3 mins? Seems to me the tone on the sky in pic4 is about the same as the clouds in pic 3.

    DP,

I would sure like to see your color results, I have been shooting the same 8x10 film on the north end of your state.

It would be fun to see someone else's results.

With a little selective tonal adjustment, the clouds have some pretty good texture.
Yeah. I'm familiar with Photoshop. It's the place I buy my film.

    Hi everyone,
Glad i found this forum as i'm about to start testing Big Stopper on FP4 and TMax100 for really really big exposures. I've got slow lenses and a 1" exp becomes 17 minutes! What's the compensation factor for that?
The project is to shoot on busy locations and turn the people into ghostlike things, hence the exaggeration
    Anyone's got tables for that?

Have you seen the Reciprocity Timer app for smartphones?

Just downloaded it DaveS. Have you been using it? Is it reliable?

To be honest I have made 3 exposures with the Big Stopper. One was perfect, and two were very overexposed. Same film (HP5+), same lens, same camera and similar lighting. I suspect operator error but I will need to have a few more goes to be sure.

Did you use the app timer or your own stopwatch?

Does anyone use an 81b or anything to warm colors when shooting color film?
