Linhof Serial Numbers

I just picked up a really rough Linhof, serial number 32374, (which is on the back of the lens rail) it's going to need at least a new bellows, a lens and lens board, who knows what else...

I was wondering if anyone knew the model and year of production for this one in particular?

Any idea if it's worth rehabilitating?

That's a bit of let down.
I'm not sure what to do with it now, but at least I only paid 35$ for it.

Sorry for the late reply here. Were two reducing backs made for the 5x7 Tech V? I've found one, but the guy states "it is the Shallow back that allows you to focus with the 5x7 in wide angle mode and then switch backs to 4x5 WITHOUT LOOSING FOCUS. Only this back will allow that."

The reducing adapters used to have a serial number on them and when you ordered one you had to supply your camera’s serial number and the correct reducing adapter would be supplied so there would be no shift when switchig format sizes down to 45.
However Linhof stopped doing this maybe 25 years ago and went to a generic reducing adapter. This adapter,was the same thickness but would no longer guarantee no focus shift. I never heard of two different thicknesses of the adapters. But then I only represented Linhof for over 35 years!
This is an adapter plate, not a reducing back. You still needed the 45 back from a Technika or a Kardan depending on which type you are trying to convert.
