    Use Schneider 480mm f/8.4 Apo-Symmar L Lens On a Phillips 8X10 Compact II

Hi. Has anyone used a Schneider 480mm f/8.4 Apo-Symmar L Lens On a Phillips 8X10 Compact II. Will I have enough bellows extension? Thanks

    According to its specifications

the flange-focal distance of that lens is 454mm (17.9 inches) when focused at infinity. The Compact II has 26-1/4 inches of bellows extension. Should be no problem even for subjects at moderately close distances.

I don't have a Compact II but the original Compact with even less bellows extension, and
I routinely use a 450 lens on it with PLENTY or extra room for closeups. Only with a 600
do I need a tophat board.
