    Very sad to hear this.

I have a copy of "Archabet- An Architectural Alphabet" by Korab which is enjoyable to view. I remember an Architect friend telling me how Korab came down to Columbus to photograph the Ohio Historical Society, which my friend helped design. He said Korab "descended on the city in his Black Jag". He used a motorized Nikon F, and one of those extendable ultra-tall Gitzo ladder tripods.

Studied his work in the magazines, it was so different.

He was a great photographer, but also a great man. I will miss his incredible artistic spirit. He deserves a really comprehensive monograph!

A close friend of my parents and someone I had the privilege to meet a few times. When my son was about four, we flew to Michigan for a family weekend. We spent the afternoon at DG's house, and my son took a real shining to him. When we left, he cried because he wanted to spend more time with the man with the beard. A real treasure of a human being.

That was what friends called him. Also how he introduced himself informally.
