Wet Plate holder from Dry Plate holder?

I'm brand new to wet plate and need a 5x7 holder. Can I use a dry plate holder? I've seen a few on the 'bay for around $40 or would I be better off modifying a film holder? BTW I'm shooting with a Eastman Kodak 2D, if that matters. Thanks for the help.

a converted holder is a great way to start but a true wet plate holder is great to work with.

Wow! Thanks for the resource. Seeing as so many people use converted holders I'm guessing true wet plate holders aren't easy to come by. Where would I go about finding one? And if so does it need to be specific for my camera?

    Thanks again for the help.
