    Post Images of Funk

Recently I've been taking images of strange scenes; sort of the anachronistic and bizarre. I have sort of taken this on as a rejuvenation project connected to human interest. I was inspired by some of the work of Ted Orland who seems to have a knack for documenting the absurd. This would be somewhat of a departure from the usual type of posts but I'd be interested in seeing if any others here have similar interests or images they have taken in the past.

Those are pictures are great, Nathan. But I don't know if "funk" is the right word. It's like something out of a John Waters movie. Watersesque.

I don't think Funk is quite right either Mike. I thought if I posted a couple of images someone might come up with a better descriptor. I was thinking that the images I posted should convey my intent.

These might fit that, but the idea of the thread seems broader to me. How about just plain "weird?" Or "weird or kitsch?"

Good idea for an image thread! Maybe "Offbeat, kitsch or surreal" ?
