where to get a lens board for a 90mm f6.8 Angulon?

I purchase a 90mm f6.8 Angulon in what appears to be a Graflex board (don't have that camera so don't know for sure)

The lens is mounted in a Synchro Compur -P shutter
the mounting hole of the board I purchased the lens with is 32.5mm
which appears to be an "in between" size

    A copal 00 hole is 26.6mm
    A copal 0 hole is 34.7 mm

I want to mount the board on one of the "standard" Technica/Wista boards to use on my Chamonix

they don't appear to sell lens boards with this size hole
I guess I could purchase a board without a hole and drill and file a hole to the correct dimensions

    is that what others do?
I thought this was a pretty popular little "hiking lens"
so I can't be the only one who has encountered this problem

if I need to purchase a board without a hole
where is a good (i.e. cheap) on-line source
I didn't see any on Ebay from the "usual" Chinese vendors

    thanks for your help

Chances are good that it will fit into a Copal 0 with no significant problem.

I also thought these fit fine in Copal 0 boards. Mine always have and I've had a number of them.

Normally the mounting hole is a little wider than the rear threads on the shutter and there is a raised lip on the retaining ring which fills this extra space, perhaps the board your lens came with has the mounting hole tight to the outside threads of the shutter. The shutter should be the standard #0 size.

One other tip is that I've found I can close the camera (Chamonix 045n-2) with a 90/6.8 angulon attached if it is mounted on a fairly deep recessed lensboard (19/20mm recessed I think). You have to make sure there is nothing protruding from the face of the lensboard however, such as a cable release adaptor. I have an older style linhof recessed board with the cable release adaptor in the recessed part of the board but I bet it would also work with any other recessed board if the release adaptor on the borad is removed and a gepe flexible cable release adaptor is screwed into the shutter.

    Hope that made sense.

well this is a case of too much measuring and insufficient "trying it out" in the real world
I removed the lens from one of my copal 0 boards and tried this new lens in that board and it of course fits
    feeling a little stupid here…

thanks for all of your input

Don't feel stupid... we've all been there too! Glad it all worked out for you.
