Any Fresnel with Split Image Focus Ring?

Just wonder if there is such thing, the one uses in 35mm and MF cameras. That can help focusing nicely.

No and why would a large format shooter only want to focus in the very center of the screen anyway?

But you can buy 45 cameras that can rangefinder focus. A Linhof Master Technika can do that with lenses from 72 to 360mm and a Wista RF can do it with some 135, 150 and 180mm lenses.

Even some 57 cameras were able to RF focus. Like a Linhof Super Technika V 57.

Most users of these cameras today use the ground glass unless they are doing documentary or news with a large format camera.

Not to mention the fact that the split image part will darken at around the maximum aperture of most LF lenses.

Depending on how large the split image part is. A microprisim might have been a better thought then a split image but neither would be practical for anything other then copy work.

A split image focusing aid can be designed for any minimum aperture, but to me doesn't seem practical or necessary for LF.

Well, I asked that since the middle of the fresnel has a large bright spot, very similar to the focus screen used in MF cameras. I just thought it may be helpful in focusing, at least in the middle. Then you move the view camera to better focus it...
