Thank you for posting the information - I won't miss it.
Thank you for posting this info. The Photo Plus Expo in the morning. Brett Weston prints in the afternoon. Not a bad photo day.
nice find...
Yes, a very nice find!
But not as fine as sitting through a couple sessions of Brett himself silently putting print after print on the easel. Sometimes one is just plain lucky. And no matter how lucky I may seem to be, there are those here and that I know that had the opportunity to actually work with him.
If there is ever the opportunity to work with or meet one of the living masters, grab it with both hands are go with it. Big name, little name, or no name at all...it does not matter. It will enrich yourself and your work -- that is why masters exist.

This is a good exhibition. I posted the print list over at APUG if anyone is interested. Definitely worth seeing. Vaughn, your tales often make me green with envy.
All the best,
Leo
It is all a matter of getting old...
One of our photo profs assisted Brett many years ago. Brett stopped by a couple times to visit him on his way through -- I think after visiting his brother in Redding, CA.
Was just talking with an old friend yesterday who has been a family friend of the Westons
his whole life, and had just returned from staying with one of them for a couple of weeks.
So got all this lore secondhand, though Brett was kind enough to leave an encouraging
note to me after one of my more youthful shows down there long ago, and apparently
bought a couple of prints which someone alleges have turned up around the Pebble Beach
compound somewhere. Wish I had bumped into him in person and traded. I've always thought of him as one of the finest printers who ever lived. I could spot his style clear
across a room, even in a small print. They just sorta popped or glowed.
