I was scanning a batch of negatives with my Epson V700 over the weekend and I ran into some issues. We had a couple of hot and humid days here in Northern Germany (it does not happen too often) and the scanner just switched off in the middle of a scan. It seemed like a heat-related issue: after switching off AND pulling the plug for a couple of minutes I could run another scan, but whenever I scanned two negatives in a row the scanner switched off again.
The next day temperatures dropped and the scanner went back to normal.
Anybody experienced the same with the Epson scanner?
BTW, for U.S. forum users: no, we don't believe in airconditioning here
