    For the Soft Focus lovers

...a new page at my website with a bunch of field work done with a Kodak 405mm Portrait lens!

How do you take a 405 Kodak in the field you say, and shoot it wide open!! with a Packard Shutter as your only source of control???!!!

Read 'em an weep. It's quite do-able. Or maybe only if you live in the desert at 5800 elevation and have a stash of Panatomic X film to burn at asa32.

For fun I've also thrown in images done with a $22 mirroscope lens, and also a bunch done with a beautiful little wide field 250mm Bausch and Lomb Rapid Rectilinear in a shutter. It'll appear for sale soon.

So, for those of you who were concerned I was dropping out of large format and you might never get to see a new page of rambling blog with weird photos.........here goes for both of you.

Good to see you're not lost in the garage darkness all the time. The car looks really good, by the way.

Great images Jim. Very nice subject and 100% appropriate lens and location. How is the "T" coming on? Thanks for doing the images and sharing them.

After looking at these I may just keep the 305 in shutter that I was thinking of selling. Guess I'll get the CLA done. Thanks Jim

The closeup of the grill is especially nice. Thanks for posting them, Jim.
