Cost to install Photoshop on 3rd computer?

A friend is over and we have been online at the Adobe site and wasting time trying to get an answer to a question.

What does it cost to get the license to install and use Photoshop on a 3rd computer?

He has it on his two at home, main and backup. One hooked to the Internet, one never hooking up - that is the one he works with most of the time and transfers images to a thumb drive and then to the internet machine for when he has to send them to someone.

Now he wants to do a laptop or a desktop at a studio location.

Adobe doesn't show what pricing is - that we could find.

Anyone know what it is these days?

it's the cost of a complete separate package. Asked a friend who works there.. you need it on more than 2 computers, you buy another copy

A little cheaper path: How about PhotoShop Elements for the one hooked to the Internet (if he really needs it on there to begin with), and the full photoshop transferred to the new lap top?

Might consider whether Aperture or LightRoom or something else might suffice? He could have Photoshop on two, Lightroom on two, and both on the main workstation.

I haven't found a limit yet to the # of computers I can put Lightroom on (and, unlike Photoshop, the same license seems to work on both Mac and Windows)

So let me get this straight. He runs Photoshop on one computer without the internet, and then runs it on another computer with the internet, so he can email the files?

Why does he need Photoshop on the "internet computer?" If all he's doing is emailing a file, he doesn't need to open it.

Good point, Ben. He coulld deactivate the copy on the 'internet' box, install PS on the laptop and be good to go. As long as he runs only two copies of PS, and not at the same time, he's OK.

The other option, assuming he'll actually need the program installed on three computers, is to look into volume licensing. Whether or not that would be cost efffective, only he could decide.
