Not crazy about the horizontal lines (seat cushions) that come out of her back. Causes some confusion for me. Love the light and the concept though.

Thank you, Jim, but there is reason behind madness. If it werent sitting like this, then vertical lines line on both cushions would be making rest of verticals (curtains and bit of window) to stand out too strong and they would squish girl a bit as well . So it was flipped one of cushions to add more visual space, accentuate hand a bit and leaving other to compliment curtain lines and create frame edge.

I agree that neutral pattern would be way better, but only other cushion we had was red and it wouldnt fit right. Kinda had to play with what i had. Ideally there should be more space to the left too, and legs should be filled in with light as well. And she should be holding bag other way around (hand behind bag, not bag behind hand) But such is a way of learning Try-rinse-repeat

This Gentleman grows and sells some of the best vegetables in North Carolina, all on a small plot of land here in town. A visit to his site for fresh produce is my favorite place to visit in the summer and fall.

    Camera – Super 4x5 Graflex

Lens – Wollensak Veritar at F6

    Film – Ilford HP-4 processed in HC-110

Nice NC shots Jack. I checked out your FB too. Next time I'm home (Winston-Salem) I'll have to look you up and we can shoot some things.
