    Tesa instead of Kami tape

I'm doing some wet drum scans using Kami mounting fluid and I'm running low on Kami tape. Would I be safe using 1/2 inch Tesa tape?

if you're planning on using the tesa to seal the edges of the mylar, I wouldn't recommend it... I'd order some Kami up from Aztek asap, they can ship same day IIRC

Re: Tesa instead of Kami tape

The office tape is very different stuff, and combined with scan fluid some of it may spread as greasy goo all over your film. But there used to be Tesa (Beiersdorf) as well as 3M scanner mounting tape in every graphics supply stores twenty years ago - they probably will still make the same (or a equivalent) product, but market it for another purpose (assembling LCD panels or whatever). Kami, who don't seem to operate a adhesive tape factory, must buy theirs somewhere, too...
