Color Developing at home - How easy/hard

Free Style has a home color developing kit for $23.00. Just wondering how easy or hard is it to do color at home. I have a b&w darkroom but would like to do color.

Easy as long as you can control the temperature very accurately. You didn't say c41 or e6 but the link I provided covers it all.

There's more info on the Forum if you do a search.
I buy the C-41 Tetenal kits from B&H, they are very good and very easy to use.
The developer temp is crucial, the blix slightly less so.
If I process consecutively, I can do between 60-75 sheets from one Tetenal packet.

Overall, it's as easy as B&W, maybe easier, since all developing times are the same, regardless of which film you use.

Try to find a 200W (or stronger) titanium aquarium heater with a separate thermostat. There is most likely a trimmer inside the thermostat that you can set to a lower Ohm value. By experimenting, patience and a good thermometer or two, you'll find a position of the trimmer that results in the correct temperature for color developing that is maintained throughout.
